Our Aims

On 1 acre of land 20 minutes outside the spiritual centre of Bali, Ubud, construction of our residential retreat and training centre has already begun. ANEW aims to:

  • Complete the current project with a 200m2 yoga shala and training room, four soundproof therapy rooms, a restaurant, gym, pool, sauna, ice bath and accommodation for approximately 20 people

  • Extend our current lease to include river access and additional acreage, increasing the number of shared and private villas for guests enabling us to host trainings for over 30 people.

  • Cultivate a well-known and reputable education centre, training new therapists to spread Kundalini Bodywork and related modalities.

  • Host like-minded retreats until all angel investors are paid back.

  • Enable three therapists to live on the property, rotating on 4 to 6 month work visas, to support guests in their self-healing journey.

  • Provide short—and long-term stays to receive Kundalini Bodywork therapy and other vetted healing modalities while integrating education, community, and self-led healing into everyday life.

  • Provide past students with a place for extended communal stays with like-minds to deepen in spiritual practice and cross-collaborate.

  • Provide organic, high-vibrational and nutritionally dense food and purified restructured water from the well on our land.

  • Be devoted to building within permaculture principles, in harmony with nature, and utilizing off-grid renewable energy.

Financing

Why a 40% return on investment?

  • ANEW believes in magnetizing the perfect community together, one that desires to build the most direct experience of the spiritual heart.

  • ANEW’s investors will be asked to share their vision of why and how we are an aligned match of values and virtues.

  • ANEW aims to pay off investors efficiently based on a reputation of powerful retreats, advanced trainings, and a community lifestyle that is becoming more and more in demand.

  • ANEW is enabled to become part of an international cooperative of independently run training centers for energy healing modalities and Kundalini Bodywork, allowing trained therapists to work in various locations for prolonged periods amongst a network of teaching and healing communities.

  • ANEW offers a 40% return on the lifetime of the investment, so it is both a loan and an investment. Investors will receive a return every year totaling to 140% of their original invested amount

“Studies on intentional communities indicate those characterized by transience, generally associated with tourism and education, while grounded in a collective purpose beyond individual interests, achieve the highest levels of success.”

Why Transient

Transient communities create a consistent and fresh flow of energy. Energy like this supports ANEW to further its mission: offering greater opportunities to build lasting connections through education and spiritual practices rooted in wisdom, healing, and transformation.

Transience creates spaciousness and puts us in touch with the fragility of life and the constant cycle of renewal through endings and new beginnings. While both our guests and practitioners are welcome to return, being in temporary states of community, as opposed to long-term, allows us to see and truly value the preciousness of time. With each new stay at ANEW, we are invited to evolve and renew our devotion to service, whether as guests, students, or practitioners.

This project is transient in 3 ways

  • The centre has very few permanent staff (except local Balinese). Even our best therapists must take time away each year (this prevents a guru/cult mentality and ensures no one becomes too comfortable and relies on the centre for personal security).

  • Has an influx of energy and people through tourism, wellness and health care.

  • Has an influx of energy and people through education.

Phase 1

Accommodations

  1. 200m2 yoga shala & training room.

  2. 4 private therapy rooms.

  3. Pool, gym, restaurant and lounge with library.

  4. Accommodation for 20 people: Including private kitchens, modern finishes, double-glazed windows, air conditioning, moisture control, renewable energy generation, and purified, remineralised and restructured water from our natural well on-site which is transported to each villa through copper piping.

  5. Garden and jungle areas.

Financial Strategy for the Initial 5 Years:

  • Host retreats in the main shala to expedite repayments to angel investors.

  • Generate funds for Phase 2.

Completion of Investment:

  • Investor receives original investment + 40% ROI (return on the initial investment), marking the completion of the investment cycle.

Profit Allocation Upon Completion of Phase 1:

  • 50% of profits allocated to fund Phase 2 expansion.

  • 50% of profits are dedicated to repaying investors.

Note: If all capital needed for Phase 1 & 2 is raised in the first round, there would be no phase 2 of development.  All development for Phase 2 would be part of Phase 1 (although the centre would start generating income before Phase 2 is completed), all investors will be paid back equally in Phase 1.

Phase 2

Plans for expanding ANEW are already underway.

We have a holding agreement on the land below to give us river access and create a fruit jungle garden. Enabling us to protect and steward the peace and tranquillity of ANEW within this underdeveloped area of Bali (20 minutes out of the highly developed spiritual hub of Ubud).

  • Additional 100m2 shala to host two trainings at once and act as backup to the main shala when needed

  • Additional accommodation. Mostly single villas in the jungle to house 32 guests on-site with 14 private rooms.

  • Increase car and scooter parking in walking distance. Includes renewable charging stations for charging electric e-bikes.

  • Addition of a whole-foods store.

  • Develop more permaculture jungle gardens.

  • Install a non-obtrusive micro-hydroelectric generator at the river.

Phase 3

We aim to pay off our investors quickly in the hope that they will invest in similar projects and that we may partner with them.

  • The bigger vision is that ANEW is an international cooperative of independently run training centres for Kundalini Bodywork, which we can all visit and exchange with to spread this self-healing and therapy practice around the world.

  • Creating more high-vibrational centres where we can live in an organic, chemical-free space with low Wi-Fi and clean water, meditate, breathe, and be with like-minded people.

  • Allowing us to focus on what we’re good at: training people in Kundalini Bodywork & giving 1-on-1 sessions as part of a therapeutic practice.
